“No, most politicians are not listening very well....Cut the cost of government so we the taxpaying citizen can afford it. We the taxpaying citizens are tired of paying for the inefficiencies and ineffective programs you have voted into law. Right now we don't care who's to blame. And no, you cannot raise my taxes until you have cut the waste and reduced the cost out of your overbloated government budgets. We the taxpaying citizens want to hear you speak about cost reduction, no balanced approach, no new taxes....just plain reducing the total cost of government so it is affordable to us taxpaying citizens, we'll do the rest. ”

“Not only are candidates not talking about the issues that matter to me, their interest groups are trying to drive the discussion to social issues. Last time I checked, the key issue in this election is the economy and jobs. Groups that would distract the focus to wedge social issues are doing the state a disservice.”

“Wake up and small the coffee is right! MN is has been run by spend-a-holics for over 30 years. We build stadiums for owners so that THEY will make more money. We finance reservation centers for an airline that runs its own little monopoly. We add regulation upon regulation to protect unions and major corporations while destroying small business owners. PAY ATTENTION! We are way past "no new taxes". We are way past "no new spending". It is time to SLASH government spending NOW or there won't be a MN or US to lament about! ”

“Hello! Wake up and smell the Coffee! Not a single one of them has a solid plan, their intention is to get elected and hope they can devise a plan that is acceptable to their party once they are in office. At this point in time, they are all pushing out a pile of rhetoric bull that they imagine you, and I might believe. There, are a couple of Items to discuss. When the Bush tax cuts going away as the Obama administration is pushing for the minimum tax rate will go from 10% to 15% or a 50% increase on those making $60,000.00 or less. How do we help those people the government (State and Federal) cannot pay the bills they have at this time. Creating more government jobs is not a long term, fix to the problems we are facing. We do not have enough money presently to pay for the service s we have now. With the State and Federal Government in a flux of not committing to a plan small business , the backbone of the US economy is and will continue to sit on their hands. In the Financial industry, there is a rumor that exists that the Obama administration would like to find a way keep the Bush Tax cuts, if they can find a way to rename them. If this is true can we all agree that on Jan 1 2011 the become the Obama tax cuts and stop with the games and get this country back on its feet ”

“What I am noticing is DFL politicians attacking the opposite party when they should be addressing issues concerning Minnesota with their same party opponents. They have said nothing or very little about what they stand for and how they are going to bring prosperity and a friendly business climate back to Minnesota. More taxes, more governmanet regulation, more stripping of personal liberties is what I am getting from the DFL. From the GOP, I am hearing concise and objective ideas of improving business climate in Minnesota, less Gov't intervention, and reducing the burden being placed on the Minnesota and American taxpayer's shoulders. But the mainstream local media will not cover this infromation and share it with the listening and concerned ears of the great people of our state.”

“I agree with Tom. I don't see candidates getting out and talking to people or groups. I do see their commercials and I'm not impressed.”

Dee, Litchfield on July 29

“I don't know. I haven't been paying much attention yet. I've seen some commercials but they don't really say anything.”
