Jesse Rosel and the Capella Cruisers ride for fun and a good cause…
Jesse Rosel and more than fifty of his coworkers at Capella University rode in the Bike MS150 through beautiful northern Minnesota. After two full days of cycling, a couple of flat tires, and some greatly needed back massages, the Capella Cruisers are already talking about doing it again next year.
The MS150 has become an annual event for the Cruisers, and they receive a lot of support from inside company walls. Their fundraising efforts are lauded by company leaders and employees are encouraged to donate or find other ways to get involved. Capella even sponsors a tent for the Cruisers at the halfway point on the 150-mile route.
Some of the riders have a personal connection to the cause, multiple sclerosis. Others are experienced bikers and enjoy the scenic route. Still, most of them are riding to be a part of this team. “The ride is fun for me because I’m a bike rider and the scenery along the route is awesome,” said Jesse. “But it’s also pretty cool how supportive Capella is of our team. We have a lot of fun for a good cause.”
